Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead Engineer with React expertise to work as part of the micro-frontend delivery team, working regularly with the client and various delivery streams.
The customer is a British luxury fashion house, focusing on trench coats, ready-to-wear outerwear, fragrances, fashion accessories, sunglasses, and cosmetics.
The main pool of tasks is associated with creating a shopping experience across platforms, both mobile and desktop, that is seamless and efficient in helping customers to find and select the right product.

Responsibilities
Provide effective engineering leadership, with expert level knowledge of React, implementation patterns, associated tooling and best practice
Work closely and in share responsibility with the Software Engineering Managers to deliver project and engineering outcomes
Accountable for engineering strategy (FE/BE) including engineering team makeup, development processes, coding standards and best practices, technology/language selection, CI/CD pipeline, test strategy and release strategy
Work with DevOps on infrastructure and environment strategy, taking a leadership role in their area of specialization and experience
Work with team to define and evangelize lean & agile ways of working. Supporting teams in understanding the importance of these
Actively engage with and promote the implementation of Open Source Software principles and values
Promote an open culture of collaboration, balancing the need to foster healthy debate whilst also providing clear direction
Act as the trusted engineering partner to product, program and project stakeholders, and the wider digital leadership team, I.e. collaboration, decision making, escalation process and execution
Own and manage Continuous Engineering Improvement and effectively communicate the values of engineering / technical investment to the business, to enable them to fairly evaluate such effort within their budgets and timescales. Including tools and processes that enable teams and engineers
Operate as a ‘servant-leader’ to empower delivery teams
Work with technical leaders (architects, delivery leads) within delivery streams as well as business area competency heads, to provide clear technical guidance, feedback and coaching and build an engineering community
Responsible for defining and ensuring the engineering assessment and interview process is adhered to, and that we are onboarding the 'right' people for each team
Requirements
Expert knowledge of JavaScript
Be recognized as an expert in React.js and the 'react way' of building frontend apps
Experience at leading technical discussions, providing guidance and mentoring to other senior team members
Strong and confident communicator able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working in agile delivery environment with mix of client and EPAM team members, onshore (London) and offshore, as well as third parties
Good end-to-end delivery experience, from architecture into CI/CD
Good full-stack developer (React.js/Node.js)
