The team is a shared service which supports the data needs of a wide variety of internal business areas across GI, Healthcare and Group. The data that the business areas utilise are accessed through a variety of different exploitation and analytical tools. The role is for an individual to lead our technical Informatica Cloud estate, driving high quality ETL, responsible for design standards and policies, provide oversight and governance to Informatica developers and driving the technical roadmap for informatica for GI and linking into the wider team.The Informatica Technical Lead/Consultant will require high experience in Informatica Power Centre, BDM, Web Analyst, Developer, DVO, set the standards for our global sourcing partners to adopt. Will need the ability to set technical direction, ensuring our designs are fit for purpose, ensure developers deliver high quality ETL, cost optimised and build our Informatica roadmap for the future. Work with central informatica design / consultancy team to help set & adopt informatica best practices and embed the governance framework.What will you be doing? Responsible for ETL design and ensuring processes are coherent, efficient and support the strategy for data architecture within AvivaAble to develop and embedded a strategy around leverage of Informatica tools support incremental business change and self-serviceAct as the ETL technical design expert for TCS new projects (of varying size) and developmentsProactively identify improvements required within existing processes Work with business data experts around on how they can grow their knowledge and support business self-serveEnsure that processes, practices, and standards within the team are consistent and compliant with Aviva standardsFormulate and communicate proposals to leverage advances in ETL technologies, including development of Proof-of-Concept solutions where appropriateDrive Innovation of Informatica tooling Technical leadership of the teamWork with central informatica design / consultancy team to help set & adopt informatica best practices and embed the governance frameworkWhat we’re looking for?
