We are seeking a specialist and business developer for trading and sales timber sector, specifically focused on exotic tropical timber.

Our company is dedicated to the trading & commercialization of raw materials with export potential from Latin America, encompassing a range of products from foodstuffs to metals, and tropical timber.

Currently, we hold the concession and exclusive rights to extract forest products from approximately 172,000 hectares of land, which includes 42 commercially viable species and a substantial inventory of standing timber located in Venezuela.

Our objective is to establish sales agreements with companies in Russia, customizing sales programs.

Compensation is structured around sales commissions, with a minimum income ranging from $2,500 to $3,000 per container. Depending on the candidate's sector knowledge and negotiation skills, there is potential for significantly higher earnings.

Our product is of exceptionally high quality and widely sought after. This will be the one of the first instance of Venezuela exporting tropical wood to Russia, representing a unique opportunity in a niche market.

Responsibilities:

  • Detect and drive sales by generating business opportunities. Capturing potential customers, meetings & videoconferences with our delegates and customers, intensive product promotion.
  • Design customized commercial proposals and sales strategies that adapt to current realities.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring that established objectives are met.
  • Conduct research to help understand the competitive environment and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the Russian timber commerce sector, including knowledge of key players and a potential list of importers.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of another language, such as Spanish, is a plus.
  • Responsible, diligent and proactive personality, with strong ability to close business efficiently.
  • Remote work is possible, with periodic meetings as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to generate new ideas that can lead to additional business opportunities.
  • Legal knowledge of timber industry contracts.
