We are looking for a specialist who will not just translate the text but adapt it for an English-speaking audience . This is not a literal translation but rather a thoughtful process of adjusting linguistic, cultural, and stylistic nuances to ensure the text reads naturally for an American audience .

What You ll Be Doing:

• Translate a book from Russian into American English while preserving the original style.
• Adapt the text for an English-speaking audience, maintaining meaning while removing cultural inconsistencies .
• Ensure the text is engaging, natural, and fluid for native English speakers.
• Preserve the author s voice while simplifying complex sentence structures when necessary.
• Incorporate idioms, slang, and phrasing familiar to the target audience.
• Work with an editor if additional literary refinement is needed.

Who We Are Looking For:

Native English speaker (preferably American English).
Excellent proficiency in Russian (expat, bilingual, or professional translator).
Experience translating and adapting books in the style of Eat, Pray, Love (Elizabeth Gilbert) or Catching the Big Fish (David Lynch) personal narratives, essays, and philosophical reflections.
Ability to convey tone, emotion, and depth in writing.
Strong literary sense, writing style, and the ability to maintain the author s voice.
Bonus: Experience in infoproducts, marketing, or copywriting .
