Job Description:

We are looking for a Team leader of PHP development team who will be responsible for the development of our in-house integration platform and portal technology stack and manage a team of software developers.

The Team leader is a key member of our development team. The ideal candidate would participate in development processes, handle all aspects of the software development cycle and work alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the core components of our software.

You will have the ability to work with cutting edge technologies and enhances team s competence and skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 3+ members

• Write high-quality code

• Maintain existing applications and improve their features

• Create new applications from scratch

• Review and merge code

• Work with QA to outline plans of testing

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Stay connected and up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into our products

• Communicate and manage all phases of active projects in the fast-paced environment.

• Follow industry best practices

• Regularly provide and receive open and constructive feedback on performance, behaviour and skills.

• Conduct performance reviews according to the company s current policies and processes and in cooperation with Human Resources and Reporting Manager.

• Drive recruitment activities for the team.

• Travel domestically and/or internationally for business as needed.

Requirements:

• Have 4+ years of professional software development experience with PHP

• You have 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.

• Have already managed a team of 3+

• Have experience in both engineering and coaching

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Have experience in fostering a culture of modern engineering practices.

• Have a working knowledge of Unix/Linux and object-oriented programming in PHP.

• Have a solid understanding of OOP and design patterns

• Proficiency designing and building APIs using PHP.

• Experience and knowledge of a modern PHP framework, such as Symphony, Laravel, Yii2 or any other

• Knowledge of the Yii2 framework would be considered an advantage

• Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, RPC)

• Good working knowledge of Git, Linux CLI is an advantage

• Good understanding of relational databases (mysql, postgresql)

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.

• Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.

• Must have excellent time-management skills

• Able to deliver on time

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Strong attention to details

• Proactive, Self-motivated with good organisational skills
