We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer who will supervise the data management and data governance practices across the data projects for the Cloud-native medical platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and implement data governance practices across all data projects.
- Manage data services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Spanner, Dataflow, and Composer.
- Provide guidelines and support for Data Warehouse/LakeHouse Data Modeling for both batch and streaming architectures.
- Ensure robust, fast, distributed, and modern data architecture implementation.
- Apply knowledge of Dimensional Modeling and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Oversee data quality, data lineage, and data stewardship initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate whiteboarding sessions using tools like Lucid and MS Visio.
- Drive change through strong leadership, negotiation, and effective networking.
Fundamental Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with GCP Data Services (BigQuery, Spanner, Dataflow, Composer).
- Extensive experience with OLTP and OLAP, including SQL and Data Architecture.
- Expertise in Data Warehouse/LakeHouse Data Modeling for both batch and streaming architectures.
- Strong understanding of Dimensional Modeling and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Proficient in data governance practices, including data quality, data lineage, and data stewardship.
- Experience in leading whiteboarding sessions with tools like Lucid and MS Visio.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare business domain.
- Good understanding of HIPAA Compliance.
- Experience with Enterprise Data Modeling (Data Vault, Inmon).
- Familiarity with Data Mesh and data contracts.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (CSVLOD, TOGAF).
- Proficiency in Python.
