Residential Alarm Sales Agents mainly work by calling company provided leads and proposing Alarm Activation or Installation services. They also perform administrative duties related to the sales journey of the customer, including but not limited to marketing the companies solutions, including products, labor and services. The Sales agent will be communicating directly with decision makers, and will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Sales Agents should be knowledgable with quoting and generating scopes of work by surveying customer residences. They should be able to deliver sales presentations to the customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Use technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence purchasing decisions and generate revenue.
Prepare customer needs analysis, and create SOW and sales estimates.
Deliver sales presentations to customers and management, demonstrating a thorough understanding of company services.
Attract new customers and upsell to the client base phone sales and direct marketing.
Create proposals, outline preventive maintenance plans, and review testing reports to quantify service repair proposals.
Assist in marketing initiatives related to sales activities and develop sales and business plans.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in high-volume sales and a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales performance for the past 3-5 years.
Technical and Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of fire alarm/life-safety, intrusion alarm, access control, video surveillance, and general low voltage systems.
Knowledge of installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of these systems.
Technical aptitude with the ability to understand drawings and codes.
Sales and Customer Relations:
Ability to grow business by providing solutions to new and existing clients.
Skilled in building customer relationships through consultative selling.
Strong negotiation and prospecting skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Work Ethic and Additional Skills:
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Fully remote job, potential candidate must be available from 9AM to 5PM PST Time.
