Key Responsibilities

• Legal Support : Provide accurate, timely advice on regulatory, corporate, and contractual matters.
• Risk Mitigation : Conduct legal research, analyze contracts, and develop strategies to reduce legal risks.
• Representation : Represent the company in disputes, negotiations, and before government agencies, courts, and counterparties.
• Debt Recovery : Negotiate settlements, issue demand letters, and initiate legal proceedings to recover outstanding debts.
• Compliance : Monitor legislation, update internal policies, and ensure adherence to fintech regulations.
• Dispute Resolution : Achieve amicable settlements through negotiation, mediation, and enforceable agreements.
• Contract Management : Draft and review contracts, NDAs, and supplementary agreements while managing product contract schemes.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Law from an accredited institution.
• 3 5 years of legal experience, including 2+ years in corporate security, compliance, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of fintech regulations (e.g., payment services, cryptocurrency, data protection).
• Fluency in English and Russian (minimum B2 level), with exceptional legal drafting skills.
• Experience in mediating different disputes (including between creditors and debtors) to reach amicable solutions.

Key Skills

• Expertise in the legal systems of Canada, Latvia, Czech Republic, and Singapore.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Competence in interpreting fintech regulations and applying them effectively.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and technologies.
• Experience in M&A deals and mentoring or managing teams.

Working Conditions

• Schedule : Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Riga time).

• Agreement Type : Service agreement.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary :
  • First 3 months: 1,500 1,700.
  • From the 4th month: 1,900 2,100.
