Purpose of the Role

Colombia is a highly local and UX-sensitive payments market .
A2A (PSE) dominates. Local wallets and cash-based methods matter. Card payments are unstable. Users are extremely sensitive to latency, clarity, and confirmation speed .

The purpose of this role is straightforward:
users in Colombia must always be able to pay using familiar local methods and receive confirmation quickly and clearly .

If users cannot deposit or withdraw without friction or frustration, this is not a market issue.
It is a payments failure .

Ownership Scope:

1. Colombia Payment Architecture

• Design an A2A-first / wallet-first payment architecture.

• Build fallback scenarios for PSE or key bank degradation.

• Minimize pending states and repeated attempts.

2. PSPs, Banks, and Aggregators

• Own relationships with local PSPs and aggregators.

• Rapidly rotate providers when performance degrades.

• Control limits, caps, delays, and reversals.

3. Performance and Stability

• Success rates across PSE, wallets, and cash methods.

• Deposit coverage across the market.

• Time-to-Credit and Time-to-Withdrawal.

• Hands-on management of pending and failed transaction states.

4. Risk and Antifraud

• Work closely with Fraud and Risk teams.

• Control account blocks and bank rejections.

• Balance growth with payment stability.

5. Operational Readiness

• Design and execute anti-crisis scenarios.

• Support Customer Support during mass payment incidents.

• Direct communication with Product and Tech teams.

KPIs You Own:

• Deposit Success Rate (PSE / Nequi / Daviplata).

• Deposit Coverage (% of players with at least one working method).

• Uptime of key payment methods.

• Time-to-Recovery after failures.

• GGR uplift driven by payment solutions.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Proven hands-on payments experience in Colombia .

• Practical experience with PSE and local banks .

• Strong understanding of A2A-first UX and user behavior .

• Background in high-risk industries : gambling, betting, crypto.

• Willingness and ability to operate in an unstable environment.

Strong Plus:

• Existing contacts with local PSPs and banks.

• Broader LATAM experience (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil).

• Proven cases of restoring payment flows after bank or PSE degradation.

This Role Is Not for You If:

• You have only worked with card payments.

• You have no experience with PSE or local wallets.

• You avoid crisis-driven decision making.
