We are looking for a talented professional to cover a role of Head of Back-Office.
Principal Responsibilities
- Control over transactions processing (confirmation, settlement of trades with securities, derivatives), client non trading orders processing (securities receipt, withdrawal, transfers, ADR conversions, DVP orders);
- Control over, building and maintaining record keeping of processed transactions and operations;
- Control over technical function of regulatory reporting;
- Control over retention of records connected with functions specified above;
- Optimization and automation of the unit's processes and functionality;
- Participation in the new products developing and implementation/testing (including new Bank-Client systems, SWIFT Net);
- Negotiation and resolving current operational issues with external providers (Banks, Depositories, Clearing agents);
- Arrangement of the internal documentation regulating unit's activities including process maps (rules, procedures, manuals), covering all unit's processes as well as efficient update;
- Ownership of the securities and derivative instruments settlement and related business day closure process;
- Ensuring unit's activity is in line with Russian/UK/EU regulations, international rules, existing market practice and internal policies;
- People management (motivation, talent management, coaching, replacement management etc.).
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
- Higher education;
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in brokerage/investment firm;
- Subject matter expert in broker products, i.e, structured products, derivatives, clearing platforms, settlement on Russian, European and US markets general knowledge and understanding of corporate actions, DMA trading service;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Fluent/Upper Intermediate English level;
- A “hands-on” work ethic;
- Ability to work with tough deadlines and extra hours.
