Emerging Travel Group, world leader in online travel services, a travel-tech company that owns several international brands: RateHawk, ZenHotels, RoundTrip, Ostrovok and others. 12 years ago we exploded into the travel industry with an innovative B2B hotel booking engine.

ETG's international segment comprises legal entities across the Americas, EMEA. While focusing on accounting deliverables and defining the group s accounting policies, the position has opportunities within the group s other diverse work streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Book Accounting

  • manage monthly closing and verify financial statements

  • ensure accuracy of transactions in accounting databases, rectifying processes

  • monitor and optimize the routine accounting tasks

• Tax Accounting

  • manage VAT filings and its planning, VAT refund requests if applicable

  • review of profitability/loss of legal entities, initiate optimizations

  • engage in forecasting legal entities' financial results produced by the FP&A Division

  • interact with the tax consultants, CA/CPAs

• Other accounting deliverables

  • takeover accounting of the new entities from the Projects Division after the launch

  • produce standalone financial statements and execute applicable audits

  • engage in the development of consolidated financial statements and audits (Big4)

  • develop accounting technical papers relating to new entities, products, business processes, and complex transactions (i/co, FX, etc.)

• Accounting policy: ensure procedural documentation and its adoption across the legal entities

• Other areas

  • provide information on results to management

  • manage and develop the team, sync the targets with company objectives

  • improve accounting processes both via automation and control

  • lead the transfer of the accounting to a planned ERP, contribute to other key projects

  • support business requests and contract approvals from an accounting perspective

Key Qualifications

• Accounting qualification CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent is preferred

• Proven experience in ERP/reporting/accounting systems (knowledge of 1C)

• Proven experience with IFRS and consolidated financial reporting

• Fluent English (C1+ level)

• Location in EU/UAE is preferred or plan to relocate to EU/UAE in a 1-1.5 year time

• Experience in an international corporation, IT company is a plus

• Experience with Structured Query Language is a plus

• Ability to demonstrate sound financial and business judgment, even in ambiguous situations

• Comfort to roll up sleeves and delve deep into the processes
